Tavrov Report · Pet hair remover mitt (pack of 2, black)
Who it's for
For people who want to pull loose fur off a short- or medium-haired dog or cat while petting it, and wipe hair off a car seat or sofa. Skip it if most of your problem is cat hair woven into soft blankets or trousers: buyers say it struggles there (see below).
What it is
A mesh mitt you slip your hand into, with a loop to hold it. You get 2 mitts.
Size of each mitt (from the supplier's photo of this exact variant): 24 × 18 cm (9.4 × 7.1 in). Shipped box: 12 × 6 × 3 cm, 76 g (2.7 oz) for the pair.
Material: mesh cloth and TPR rubber (supplier).
How we prove it
Scenario: With buyer reviews. Trust comes from what we can show you, not from star ratings.
- Official supplier data (size, material, stock in the US warehouse, shipping time), checked on 2026-10-29.
- Every photo checked one by one against the exact version we sell.
- Reviews from buyers of other stores, shown with their date and source, low ratings included. They are a signal, not our proof.
- Our own hands-on test of a sample: pending. Until it is done, this report says so, and we tell you exactly what is still unproven.
What buyers say
Most recent buyer review on the supplier's platform: August 2026 (source: CJ Dropshipping official API).
Market signal: a listing of the same product on AliExpress (matched by photo) shows 6,414 reviews, average 4.4, and 10000+ sold (checked 2026-10-30). These are not Tavrov reviews. Source: AliExpress official API.
New at Tavrov: no reviews from people who bought it here yet.
On the supplier's platform (CJ Dropshipping, official API, checked 10/29/2026): 28 reviews, average 4.54 — 23 five-star, 3 three-star, 1 two-star, 1 one-star. These are buyers of other stores, not Tavrov's.
What the lower ratings say, in their words (translated):
- "Doesn't work on cat hair." (1★, Netherlands)
- "Cleans well, difficult to hold." (2★, Israel)
- "Barely takes cat hair off trousers." (3★, Japan)
- "More for something rough like a coarse carpet; on a soft blanket the fabric drags along and you can't gather the fur like in the video." (3★, Ukraine)
- "Works." (3★, Germany)
Honest note: the 12 US reviews from July–August 2026 are short and read alike ("The design is very thoughtful"). We do not use them as proof.
What we checked ourselves
- Photos vs. name: black mesh mitt with a yellow loop, 2 pieces, 24 × 18 (10/29/2026).
- Weight and box size of the exact variant we sell.
- Ships from the supplier's US warehouse: 28 units there today. 3–8 days. If US stock runs out, we pause the page.
- Hands-on test of a sample (dog coat, cat coat, a fleece blanket): pending.
- 3D model with the Tavrov ruler at real scale: done. On the product page you can turn it and set it next to a US quarter, a credit card or a phone, at real size.
Cons
- Weak on cat hair stuck in soft fabrics (4 of the 5 low reviews).
- One buyer found it hard to hold.
- Reviews on the supplier platform are thin and partly generic.
Safety
Not a children's product. Use gently; stop if the pet resists or the skin turns red.
Price and shipping
US$ 19.59 for the pair (supplier's suggested retail). Sales tax is added at checkout only where it applies.
Ships from the US in 3–8 days (US$ 4.85–5.70 shipping to us, tested for NY, CA, TX, FL, IL, WA, GA, AK, HI).
